Learning on the Job – MaxPro Builders in Collaboration with GlobalPro Recovery, Make the City More Beautiful with the Renovation of Anton Acero Salon

After a much-anticipated renovation, Anton Acero Beauty Studio has re-opened its doors at their new Coral Gables location with the help of MaxPro Builders.

August Forte and Travis Ozga, under the direction of Daniel Odess, oversaw the construction of the new high-end studio, ensuring that the space and atmosphere would deliver the contemporary beauty experience modern Miami salon-goers love.

GlobaPro, a sister-company of MaxPro, used this construction project as an opportunity to teach its adjusters the ins and out of the construction process so they can better service their clients.

With many adjusters focusing solely on piecing together the aftermath of failed or destroyed spaces, GlobalPro sets itself apart by teaching its adjusters how to assess from the ground up. GlobalPro apprentice Travis Ozga was able to receive hands-on training throughout the entire construction process of the salon, making him better equipped to asses the damage of the claim once he is licensed.

This property has a modern interior space that features a simplistic and functional design. Positioned in as a corner unit of the building, the studio allows natural light to pour into the space, enhancing the crisp, modern aesthetic. The studio functions as both a full service salon and photo studio that can be used for various events such as a prep-space for bridal parties and photo-shoots. The studio is also eco-friendly and uses a combination of energy saving mechanical and electrical systems, such as tankless water heaters and LED fixtures. In order to create flattering lighting for their clients, NANDEZ Design+Development, the architects, balanced the natural light with the use of energy efficient LED bulbs. The owners of the studio had all of the hanging fixtures custom designed, paying special attention to the custom millwork and furniture that complete the space, to keep a cohesive design and aesthetic throughout the entire space.

The studio is in a growing part of Coral Gables north of Miracle Mile, which has offered a unique opportunity for the owners. By working in a combined space the studio professionals and artists are able to creatively collaborate on design projects, which is offered no where else in Coral Gables, let alone Miami. The Anton Acero studio has created a stronger art community with their innovative space.
